From 8 to 11 June, Brasília became a hub for martial arts as it hosted the FISU World University Combat Sports Championship, welcoming university athletes from different continents. Karate was among the most anticipated disciplines, showcasing the tradition, precision, and technical excellence that define the sport.
Competitions were held in both the Men’s Kata and Women’s Kata events, featuring athletes born between 2000 and 2005. Throughout four days of competition, participants delivered impressive performances, with every movement reflecting discipline, concentration, and the pursuit of technical perfection.
With thrilling finals and podiums featuring representatives from Asia, Europe, and the Americas, the championship once again highlighted FISU’s role in promoting sporting and cultural exchange among universities worldwide, celebrating karate as a martial art that bridges tradition and youth.
